Twin Cups is Santa Barbara’s first "stop and go" coffee and live culture frozen yogurt bar. Santa Barbara native Nathan Carey started Twin Cups with the idea to serve quality coffee and frozen yogurt to people on the go.
The Concept
The vision of Twin Cups was to create a place where people could grab a quick, healthy snack and not get caught up in an overwhelming amount of choices. Customers should feel good about getting a healthy treat that is portioned controlled, has no junk food toppings, and is delivered at a fair price!
What does “stop and go” mean to our customers? Whether you are commuting to work, going to school or just in the mood for a quick, quality snack, you pull into our convenient parking area, order and your coffee is delivered to your car window. For even faster service you can phone in your order, and we will have it ready to serve to your car window when you arrive. But Twin Cups is not just for the driving population as you can also enjoy our products if you are walking through the area or on your bike.
Additionally, Twin Cups provides catering service for events such as weddings, school functions, corporate meetings and other gatherings.
Twin Cups is not only about service but also about product. Our goal is to provide a nutritional, delicious snack to go with a great cup of coffee.
The Product
At Twin Cups we make every effort to use all local vendors such as Caribbean Coffee, Debbie Delights, Jordano’s, and Eco Green Supply.
Our yogurts contain probiotic, live active cultures and are 100% nonfat. We do not add any artificial sweeteners.
Twin Cup customers get to make their own frozen yogurt shake & smoothie flavors which ensures the freshest taste! With our one of a kind yogurt machine we custom make your yogurt when ordered. We do not serve any yogurt from a soft serve machine. Customers can mix and match from our wide range of fruit, add granola, coffee, or even a shot of espresso to our base flavors consisting of Vanilla, Tart, and Chocolate.
At Twin Cups be on the lookout for the new weekly special drinks. Twin Cups baristas are constantly creating new specialty coffee drinks for the week, along with creative new flavors for yogurt shakes that allow you to integrate a shot of espresso or coffee!
The Environment
Twin Cups makes every effort to be green by using all eco friendly products. All the yogurt cups and cold cups are recyclable plastic along with our spoons. Our coffee cups are made with a built in sleeve and are compostable. At the moment there is not a commercial composting program in place in our area so we do not offer all our cups in compostable material. However we did choose to use compostable hot cup with a built in hot sleeve to avoid the extra paper involved to create a hot sleeve.
At Twin Cups we are constantly looking for ways to be greener and are currently in the process of developing a container for yogurt that will eliminate the need for a spoon!
About Nathan Carey
Nathan Carey leads the construction department for The Carey Group, Inc. A native of Santa Barbara, Mr. Carey attended Santa Barbara City College before transferring to California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, where he majored in Construction Management. In 2005 he joined The Carey Group full-time as an Assistant Construction Superintendent for the construction of Patterson Plus, a 78,000 square foot self-storage center and the corporate offices of The Carey Group Inc. In 2007, Mr. Carey was certified as a full construction superintendent. He recently completed the Camino Campana luxury homes in 2008 for the Carey Group.
